Welcome to the Fairfax Multi-Academy Trust (FMAT) website.

The Trust was established in November 2014. As CEO and founder, working alongside several key establishing members, I am proud of the growth, developments and achievements we have already accomplished to date.

FMAT currently has four Academies located across the West Midlands;

Fairfax – was the founding School of the Trust.  Based in Sutton Coldfield, this secondary school is renowned for its achievement in student progress, which is developed through both academic skills and the extra-curricular experiences available to its students;

Bournville – recently became an “All Through” Academy, accommodating students from Reception to Year 11.  Situated in the South of the City, Bournville was the Trust’s first sponsored Academy;

Erdington – was formally known as Kingsbury School and Sports College.  The Academy was rebranded as it joined the Trust in September 2016.  This culturally diverse community continues to grow from strength to strength;

Smith’s Wood – located in the Solihull region is the most recent Academy to join our Trust.

There is a belief that is resonated through-out the Trust that education is the bedrock for a successful and fulfilling life and it is our aim to prepare every student with the necessary skills and competencies to succeed in a 21st century workplace.  The curriculum underpins our ethos, focussing on creativity, innovation and mastering of the fundamentals; reading, writing, communicating and mathematics.

My personal aim is to ensure that each student’s individual experience is as enjoyable and rewarding as possible.  I believe that this starts with the basics and therefore I will relentlessly pursue excellence in punctuality, behaviour, uniform and respect for one another.

As our Trust continues to grow, so does our wealth of knowledge, resources and support.  Ultimately, this means that the education delivered in the classroom is enhanced and opportunities for career progression increase.
