Ambition To Teach Programme - Teaching Fellows

Ambition To Teach Programme – Teaching Fellows

£19,000 per annum

Our ambition is simple: we want the best for every child. We want every child, regardless of background, to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes to excel in modern Britain.

We believe great teachers make great schools and great schools change children’s lives.

But we also want our staff to be ambitious about their professional practice and careers because an ambition to develop and improve professionally means greater impact on more pupils.

It is collective ambition that excites us most.  When you bring together people that share the same beliefs, values and aims, you can start to effect real change. Why should a child’s demographics determine their destiny?  We are searching for dedicated professionals to join us as Teaching Fellows: graduates who are committed to transforming the lives of the children who need it most in a traditional environment of courtesy, manners and respect.

Successful candidates will have a highly academic background including a good degree and excellent GCSE and A level results in the subjects they have the ambition to teach. Being a Teaching Fellow is not like being a Teaching Assistant. As a Teaching Fellow, immediately you will lead interventions for our weakest pupils in small groups, help to create and design curriculum resources, act as a form tutor and contribute to school wide support strategies. You will have a clear ambition to develop to teach. This would not happen immediately, but we expect our Teaching Fellows to dedicate themselves to develop to become teachers at our schools, some beginning within their first term with us.

To support you in this, we will offer you:

  • An intensive induction which helps you to fully immerse into our ethos
  • A dedicated subject-specific mentor whose lessons you will observe with opportunities to team teach
  • An extensive programme of CPD around the teacher standard
  • Support to achieve QTS via assessment only route with providers

As a growing organisation, there are many opportunities to develop across our family of schools.
